It might be tempting not to set foot outside the hotel at all, but a little Bangkok exploration is encouraged.

Bangkok will never run out of suppliers when it comes to accommodation, but the one that everyone is talking about right now is Chatrium Grand Bangkok, which recently received recognition as the Best City Hotel at Robb Report’s Best of the Best 2023 Awards.

Chatrium Grand Bangkok is located right in the heart of Bangkok’s shopping district, to which it offers direct access through two entrances: one from the wholesale shopping arcade, and the other from the luxurious Siam Paragon. Despite the vibrant city setting, however, Chatrium Grand still offers pristine greenery and a peaceful ambience, thanks to its own private site.

If you don’t feel inclined to get out and about, spending time in the hotel can actually be one of the best things to do while in Bangkok, starting with a package at THANN Sanctuary, where not only will you find some of the best treatments available in Bangkok, but also an oxygen room, salt room, and steam bath.

Food and beverage outlets must also be mentioned. Chatrium Grand Bangkok offers an international buffet (expect lobster, foie gras, steak, sashimi, pad Thai, and more), French-Mediterranean cuisine, and Italian delights by award-winning chef, Jerome Bondaz. Trying any, or preferably all, of these outlets will not bring disappointment.

Instagram moments can be created at the pool, or if you take your swimming seriously you can also enjoy 40-meter laps. The well-designed pool area is situated between the two imposing towers but without inviting claustrophobia. Bangkok’s urban skyline is clearly visible, and the pool catches all the sun you need.

Guest rooms come in very generous sizes if comparisons are drawn with the alternatives. They also come with a selection of delectable Thai snacks along with all the other creature comforts befitting such an establishment.

It might be tempting not to set foot outside the hotel at all, but a little Bangkok exploration is encouraged. For high-end shopping, Siam Paragon is but a few steps away, or less than a minute by hotel buggy. A longer walk to the wholesale shopping district of Pratunam offers a more authentic local experience, with all the color and chaos of a major Southeast Asian metropolis.

Pro tip: if you are bringing a little one, they will get to enjoy kids’ club and some additional privileges at nearby Bangkok Ocean World. And don’t forget that booking direct with the hotel always comes with its own perks.
