The Peninsula Hong Kong's connection with Rolls-Royce is legendary, beginning with an unprecedented order of seven Silver Shadows in 1970—the largest single order in Rolls-Royce history at the time. Since then, every fleet expansion has been a noteworthy event. From eight Silver Shadows in 1976, nine Silver Shadow IIs in 1980, to multiple orders of Silver Spurs in the '90s, the hotel has consistently reaffirmed its commitment to unmatched luxury transportation.
Perhaps most notable was December 2006, when The Peninsula introduced 14 bespoke Phantom Extended Wheelbase vehicles in the hotel's signature "Peninsula Green"—a historic fleet expansion celebrated worldwide.
