Dubai is slated to be the first international destination for Faena.
Accor and Faena partnered in global strategic partnership with a focus on expanding the Faena brand around the globe.
Faena is a leading luxury lifestyle hotel brand in Latin America and the U.S with one hotel in Buenos Aires, and two hotels in Miami Beach.
Alan Faena, founder of Faena Group will work in partnership with Accor to break new ground, developing Faena Districts in select global destinations.
Dubai is slated to be the first international destination. Over the next five to ten years, Faena and Accor will forge up to 20 one-of-a-kind, socially responsible, holistic destinations anchored in cultural experiences, in the form of residences, hotels and art & community spaces.
The new venture will manage Faena Buenos Aires and Faena District Miami Beach, which was named as the #1 hotel in Miami, #2 hotel in the wider United States and twelfth highest ranked property in the entire world by readers of Condé Nast Traveler in their 2020 Readers’ Choice Awards, as well as all future projects created in collaboration together.
Accor's spokesperson stated that a large part of Accor's strategy is focused on accelerating growth and development through organic growth, acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Accor has an unmatched portfolio of brands, and the addition of Faena helps make the Accor family of brands even more diversified.
Both groups saw an opportunity to combine their collective strengths and work together to expand the Faena brand into new markets globally.
Faena will benefit from the global reach and scale of the Accor network, allowing the brand to accelerate its growth and expand its unique model - that successfully integrates property development, unique experiences and the cultural arts - into new markets globally.
In turn, Accor will maintain its asset light approach while augmenting its integrated hospitality ecosystem with an authentic, new lifestyle brand.
The details of investment partnership aren't being shared at this moment.
