Mondrian to Make its Southeast Asian Debut with Opening of Mondrian Singapore

Mondrian, part of Ennismore, one of the hottest hospitality groups in the world with a global collective of 14 brands, will open in Singapore in the first quarter of 2023.

Rising above the historic and colourful Chinatown shophouses with sweeping views of the glittering city skyline, the hotel is a stone’s throw from the Central Business District. Backtrack 100 years and the notorious streets of Duxton Hill were filled with adventurers and thrill seekers searching for a taste of the forbidden.  The aroma of spices and sounds of the illicit permeated the air. Today, Duxton Hill is Singapore’s most up-and-coming neighbourhood featuring barista cafes, world-class eateries and bars, art galleries and independent boutiques.

The hotel houses 302 guestrooms and shophouse suites, a cinematic rooftop pool and eclectic restaurants and bars. Its design draws inspiration from the heritage conservation area’s traditional architecture and presents immersive installations and a contemporary collection of local and international artwork to create a space to connect and broaden horizons.

Mondrian himself was an artist who shocked the world with his minimalist take on the Cubist era. Mondrian the brand has always sought to provoke and surprise through creating the extraordinary. With its flair for the unexpected, bold design and electric energy, Mondrian will offer guests a distinctly different hotel experience in Singapore.

“With creativity and purpose at the heart of everything we do, the debut of Mondrian Singapore Duxton marks a significant milestone in our introduction of the Mondrian guest journey across Asia Pacific,” said Chadi Farhat, Chief Operating Officer of Mondrian at Ennismore. “Our team of dreamers could not have asked for a better launchpad than Singapore, given its acclaimed reputation as a leading commercial and travel destination within the region, to let their imaginations run wild.”

“I want Mondrian to be the beating heart of this extraordinary city, a catalyst to forge connections with like-minded people, innovators and the wild at heart” said Robert C. Hauck, General Manager of Mondrian Singapore Duxton.
