Langham Hospitality Group Appoints Markus Aklin as Vice President – Development Asia Pacific
Given the position of Vice president - Development, Asia Pacific, Markus Alkin will have the responsibility of growing the brands. The Langham Hospitality group plans to accelerate the growth of the brand in the Asia Pacific following the successful opening of The Langham, Jakarta and the imminent opening of The Langham, Gold Coast.
Graduating from the Swiss Hotel Management School Lucerne in Switzerland, Markus is able to speak fluent Thai, German, English and French. Markus also has an EMBA from Sasin School of Management, Bangkok, Thailand / Kellogg School of Management Northwestern University Chicago, USA.

Markus began managing operations and pre-opening projects in 2003. As a Swiss national, Markus has led development in Asia Pacific for over 10 years for Onyx Hospitality Group being able to successfully execute the market entry strategies into eight regions. Currently, Markus has relocated to Hong Kong from Bangkok and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
