After receiving applications from more than 40 brands and close to 100 properties the 2015 edition of The Hotelier Awards China is looking like it is going to be a fantastic one. The five judges gathered recently at Four Seasons Hotel Pudong, in Shanghai to begin the selection process. They were astounded by the quality of each submission and the level of dedication and pride shown for the job. The judges faced an extremely difficult task of narrowing down the candidates to leave just 6 nominees for each of the 17 different categories.

The category for GM of the Year was positively brimming with outstanding applications, each including impressive testimonials. The successful candidates are;

Michael Liu – Asstistant Chief of Security – Hilton Beijing
Suzanne Chan Chi San – Assistant Manager, Service Quality – Hard Rock Hotel Macau at City of Dreams Macau

Judge Yona He – Senior Vice President Asia Pacific & Oceania – Forbes Travel Guide comments “I was very impressed by the quality of the applications, the level of detail and the overall effort applied. Narrowing the list down to a top six nominees was a real challenge which is a testament to.” The selection process was a further indication of the extraordinary lengths hoteliers are reaching in order to improve service and overall guest experience. The hospitality sector in Greater China is well on its way to becoming a major player on a global scale.
