As an innovative and award-winning hotel development company, Singapore-based Miners Hospitality has also been making a significant impression on the operational side of the industry of late. Already with a stellar reputation in development, Miners Hospitality today announced its latest project in Pattaya, along with the recent appointments of two new senior executives to handle the company’s anticipated growth in 2018.

The new development, The Rizin Hotel & Residences, will be the fifth project for Miners Hospitality in Pattaya alone, and Mendes Cavin, the Founder & CEO, described the latest addition.

Miners Hospitality has just recently been appointed to turn a planned condo project into a hotel at a very late stage in the development. There were a few areas our in-house designers could still change in accordance with our usual hotel requirements, including the entire public areas as well as some in-room features, but all in all we still had the task of turning a condo, which is planned and built without supporting back-of-house areas, into an operationally effective hotel. It’s a challenge, but one that we’ve done before,” he said.

Miners Hospitality has been successful in developing properties in China, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, and Indonesia, gaining recognition along the way with numerous awards and accolades. These include the National Tourism Award and China B&B Style Award for the Arro Khampa Lijiang, China, and the Thailand Boutique Award for the Monttra, Pattaya, to name but a few.

While Miners Hospitality was built with the backbone of a hotel developer, the growing demand for hotel management services among its clients has resulted in the company recently welcoming Anthony O’Neill as the new Vice President of Operations for the group, and Anne Lewinski as Vice President Sales & Marketing to cater for the growth in this area.

We often receive requests from our clients to manage their properties after we commission them. We deliver hotels with a lucrative return on investment and therefore our clients feel more secure if we continue to manage the properties once they are commissioned. When we first started Miners Hospitality 4 years ago this was simply not possible, but now we are stable and therefore have recently appointed two senior hoteliers to help us expand the operator side of our business,” explained Mendes.

S Loft Manado in Indonesia is the latest property to be developed by Miners Hospitality and will be ready to open in February 2018, while The Rizin, Pattaya, is scheduled to open in March 2018.
