Just in time for the Thai New Year, the first week of April saw the Grand Opening of Metropole, the latest addition to Bangkok’s serviced residence market and the first to appear under The Crest Collection. Located on Soi Thonglor within easy reach of the BTS, the expressway, and all the dining and nightlife that Thonglor has to offer, Metropole aims to evoke the Thai Golden Age, fusing colonial architecture with classic Thai elegance.
Offering 116 spacious studios and one-bedroom apartments, the property becomes the tenth venture to open in Thailand under the management of The Ascott Limited. The Singapore-based company is an award-winning global leader in serviced residences, with almost 300 properties in 100 cities under the Ascott, Citadines, and Somerset brands.
Metropole will start to welcome guests and residents under the capable guidance of Ascott’s Country General Manager for Thailand, Jean Keijdener, who is responsible for overseeing all of the company’s Thai serviced apartments. With seven more Thai properties in the pipeline, the company aims to grow rapidly through its carefully personalized service standards and unique facilities.
Supporting that growth, and making one more reason to visit Metropole, is CHOW – an almost-24-hour Chinese fusion restaurant which offers outstanding food at surprisingly affordable prices. Already making an impression in an area known for its fine dining, CHOW is also worth checking out for its cocktails, or just for the decor.
