What’s the most challenging aspect in running your hotel?

Logistics, Maintenance and staff. Due to the fact that we are on an island, 350 km away from Male, it is a challenge to get everything we need as soon as possible and for the Maintenance part sometimes we have to improvise.

The second challenge is forming and keeping the multicultural staff from 18 different nations as a well being and well performing team.

What do you like most about your day in your hotel?

To meet and work with so many different and interesting guest and staff.

If you could turn back time, what would be the one thing you would have changed in your career?

If I could turn back the time I would start working earlier in more Asian countries.

What are your preferred sources when it comes to learning about hotels?

Exchange knowledge with local Colleagues, external seminar and professional articles

If you were a superhero, what would you be and why?

Mahatma Gandhi because he gained Independence for Indian without violence

How do you manage to always be energetic and positive?

I get my energy from sport and spending  evenings together with my colleagues and friends.

What kind of marketing tools you find to be effective in PR & Marketing in the hotel world today?

Social Media, Hotel Awards like Tripadvisor (booking criterion for our guest) and word-of-mouth recommendation.
