Hotel ICON, the innovation thought leader in hospitality management announced today its upcoming knowledge-sharing forum for senior executives in the industry – “Hong Kong Hotels – Future Trend of Housekeeping Operation Forum”- which will be held on 30th August 2017. Organised and hosted by Hotel ICON, the event will take place at the hotel’s Silverbox Ballroom located on Level 1.
“While the hospitality industry traditionally is labour-intensive and we know that the personal connection of manpower cannot be easily replaced by technology; the Information Age, which we are all apart of is transitioning us into the knowledge economy, at a rapid pace. Our aim with platforms such as the Housekeeping Operation is to bring together experts to share news and knowledge about the latest hospitality technology solutions, many of which could present answers and create new value as we continue to transform our business processes to benefit our guests,” according to Mr Richard Hatter, the general manager of Hotel ICON, an innovation hotel, innovating the hotel industry developing the next-generation of hotel leaders in Asia.
The inaugural Housekeeping Operation Forum will feature speakers from Konica Minolta Business Innovation Centre, Diversey, FCS Computer Systems and the Shangri-La Hotel Group, addressing the challenges of Housekeeping operation in hotels and the changing behaviours of customers.
Konica Minolta will be sharing about Robotics in the Hospitality industry and providing insights into the usage of various types of robotic solutions to enhance productivity in both front and back of house work processes.
Another automatic robotic solution, which could assist the Housekeeping team is the newly launched TASKI Intellibot range of commercial automated robotic cleaning machines from Diversey Care. The fully-automated commercial cleaners for floors, according to Diversey will thus allow the hotel team to focus on other revenue-generating and value-added tasks.
FCS will address the best practices in housekeeping and how to leverage FCS Housekeeping solution to automate and streamline the daily housekeeping operations, thus enhancing the overall stay experience for the guests.
Wrapping up the forum will be a panel discussion on “What’s the role of technology and how can it tackle the challenges faced by Housekeeping now and in the future”. The panelists include:
