Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree
We cannot resist the remarkable 12-foot-tall Christmas tree standing tall at the five-star Hilton Chennai, India. Did we mention a dozen chefs and half-a-dozen carpenters crafted the tree using 250 kilograms of chocolate and ice cubes? Adorned with Santa Claus, snowmen and mini tree ornaments, that happen to be made from icing sugar, the tree took “six days of preparatory work and 14 hours to assemble” an official said. Whoever thought of combining the treasured Christmas tree with delectable chocolate goodness, is indebted with our everlasting admiration.

A Taste Down Memory Lane
Fancy taking your palette to a Christmas feast experienced in 1914? The staff at Pitlochry’s Atholl Palace Hotel have uncovered the Christmas dinner offered 100 years ago and have decided to revive the menu items to raise cash for the Royal British Legion. The original menu boasts Cold Sliced Beef Tongue, Young Turkey with Giblet Grave, Pumpkin Pie, Amontillado Sherry and of course to finish off, a fine selection of cigars.
