Thai Hotels Association Holds Sustainability Conference to Help Hotels Go Green

Sustainability is the new buzzword in business. What does it mean and what can hotels do to be sustainable? Learn new hotel trends that will help you stay competitive and prepare your hotel for green operational excellence.

Thai Hotels Association is holding a full-day sustainability conference on the 4th of October 2017 at The Sukosol Hotel, to help hotel operators get into green practices by providing informative sessions from Thailand’s most experienced sustainable hoteliers such as ; Dr. Chuwit Mitrchob, Assistant Director-General, Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (Public Organisation) (DASTA) , Choo-Leng Goh, General Manager, Plaza Athenee Bangkok, A Royal Meridien Hotel and Le Meridien Bangkok ,   Somchai Wongwattana, Resident Manager, Sampran Riverside, and Chompan Kulnides, Vice President of Investment, Minor Holdings (Thai) Ltd.

The conference will cover ; H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) and Sustainable Tourism Development,  Developing sustainable meetings, marketing opportunities and meeting global demands , How Sustainability Can Add Value to Your Business , and many more.

Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi,EVP – Sukosol Hotels, and Environmental Chair of Thai Hotels Association said that THA has been working closely with Green Leaf Foundation for over 20 years to promote environmentally friendly practices in hotel operations and THA sees the importance of global hospitality trends in sustainable development. 

Global hospitality trends are shifting dramatically toward sustainable development and we hope to share those trends with hoteliers, large and small, at the conference. THA’s hotel members not only include large chain properties, but also smaller independent hotels and SMEs across the country
